I am all game for making fun of BYU!! I have to go to Provo this weekend and I feel like I've crossed enemy lines every time I am there.....but I make sure to wear a Wyo Cowboys hoodie every time!! Don't get me wrong, I don't want a censorship, but I want people to be respectful....and I think certain Wyoming fans who have recently posted would be quite surprised at the number of LDS Cowboys fans. I'm all for a little harmless poke, but there's no reason to start bashing someones faith....I don't see anyone bashing TCU, SMU, Notre Dame, Gonzaga etc.... :twocents:
Well, most Cowboy fans leave religion out of it. It must be said though, that there are a few different types of Mormons.
1. Regular Mormon-Average person, goes to church, goody two shoes, but all around they're alright.
2. Door-to-door Mormons- Won't take no for an answer, keeps foot in doorway. Harmless, but can be annoying.
3. Jack Mormons- Only Mormons by association or title only. More or less your average guys that like to drink a bottle of Jack.
4. BYU Mormons-Loud, obnoxious, self-entitled, rude, and noses in the air. And that's on a good day.

Also, TCU is really only a Christian School in name only. They're generally pretty lax.

What happens when their religion and faith directly affects their basketball team by dismissing one of them? I would think that it's open season then? Do you think Jimmer would be kicked off of the team if he violated the rules? Possibly. They did kick off Harvey, but he is also not white.

Magic underwear should be fair game that shit is just crazy.

But seriously all this pc crap is super gay. y'all need to be not so defensive.

Haha, okay I'll accept that! I am okay with taking shots at #4 all day, because you are freakin right, a lot of them do have a I'm better than you mentality, even to their fellow members!

I promise you that race has no bearing on any of those decisions, if Jimmer messed up...he'd be gone

You guys should see the Oklahoma fans down here. Holy..... What makes it worse is that OU became very good the same exact year Wyoming went in the crapper and stayed there i.e, the 2000 season. OU wins the National Title while Wyoming only wins 2 games. :brick: :brick: :brick: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

I'm going to go ahead and say that was a joke...only because the article makes no mention of hate for anyone other than a television channel. If you were being serious then you really need to think about what you just posted.
Okay, well make your judgements upon one journalist who was preaching "hate" against the quality of television that the Mountain produces(something I'm sure we are ALL guilty of after watching the Mountain broadcast basketball). Seems like a good reason to bring up religion right? Sports isn't a domain that religion should be involved in, and I feel bad to see people stoop low enough to take shots at another religion that they probably don't understand because they can't find a way to actually take a shot at the teams themselves.

PS- Find another forum to post your religion comments, I personally prefer to speak about sports in this one! *

Very creative, I didn't know that the length of membership on a message board had ANYTHING to do with with ANYTHING. OH yah..it really doesn't. I'm glad you have the ability to do a small amount of research and see I've been on this board for 3 days, congrats to you. You have your opinion and I think that the moderators will agree that this isn't the place for religous conversation nor opinions. PS- Nice 3rd grade argument, "you're not the boss of me, so you can get bent"? awesome

O K since i have your panties in a knot I will respond with more than my usual sarcasm, in the article the reporter said a majority of people he talked to used the word hate, so every one he talked to was either U fans or Zoobies so when I sarcastically pointed out that hate is contradictory to to Christianity, because Christians aren't supposed to hate it doesn't matter if its hating a person or a television channel hate is hate so I was pointing out that most of the fans that he was writing about are hypocrites because I'm sure a majority of them consider them selves good Christians. And for the U and Zoobie fans that have so much hatred of the mountain their schools probably played the biggest part in the mtn deal.
And for my saying that you have been on this board for only 3 days and your tellin me that it doesn't have any thing to do with anything your wrong, this board has a histoy and in the two years I'v been on this board very few posters have have called out other posters, My self I have only gone after one he was a Sphincter Boy named east pops off he was a trol and got kicked off the board. So now after 3 days your the self apointed pc cop of this board you need to take a board history lesson and read a thread from last summer

Yes, I love self appointing myself. I'll be honest I really don't care anymore about what you say, I just personally think talking about religion on a message board that is supposed to be used to talk about Cowboy athletics is a waste of time. Thats my opinion, which I expressed just as you expressed yours. So I probably won't read your homeworks assignment and I am pretty much done with this whole thread. There isn't really anything interesting to bring up in it anymore. I wasn't "going after you" I was going after those specific comments, if you'll look I have replied to other posts of yours and haven't said a word about this specific statement or thread. In fact, I even agreed with you! So I'm done with it, if you'd like to continue to reply that is your perrogative.

Yeah, because BYU has never had a problem with race! Wow, you really think that BYU is some sort of color blind equal opportunity university? Maybe I need to get up into those mountains and smoke all that weed those hunters have been finding. Let me know when some blonde kid named Amaleki Smith or Amaleki Young gets kicked off the team.
I think they are more likely to cover up a Jimmer mess up. But if it got out, they would still shitcan Jimmer.

You make it sound like you are the president of the and head of the morality code at BYU by promising it had nothing to do with it. How the fuck do you know? I'm sure they turn a blind eye to some infractions.

I have never said that BYU has never had an issue with race....good job...so has the rest of the freakin United States. Maybe it did, I don't know...I shouldn't have used the world "promise", thank you for getting technial. You know I'm just making assumptions about it not being race, just like you're making assumptions that it is....so how the "How the f##k do you know?" All I care about is that BYU got their A** kicked last night, I don't care if they are all black or all white.
