Safe to say we've got a budding star. Add in reinforcements next year and we'll be competing for 'ships.

Yeah ever since he arrived last year as a freshman, I've thought JJ was the closest player to Marcus Bailey I've seen, plus James has the added advantage of being a couple inches taller!

So why isn't he starting over Liebs or Swede? Or maybe being on the bench for 5 mins or so at the start gives him a chance to speck out the opponent's players and style so he comes in fully loaded.

I don't have a real good answer why he doesn't start, cause there's no question he's our best offensive weapon, other than maybe Edwards feels it makes our team more dangerous to have James come off the bench and have our offense hit another gear when he enters the game. However, as was the case against Cal, I'd rather have him in the game right away if having him on the bench means we give up a huge lead early. Against Cal, we gave up huge runs to start both halves, and when James and Dalton came in, we were able to chip away and make the game close both times, but the deficits were too great to overcome.

Lineup of James with Adams, plus Mack, Herndon/Dalton and some other bigs who can run the floor i.e. Moemeka and Jones and things are looking good.

Wyoair i was going to say the same thing. James adams mack and jones. With herndon dalton naughton and momeka. The future is bright. But i cant wait to see James,Mack and Adams share the floor together.

From what I have seen, Moemeka looks totally lost out there. What am I missing?

Probably not missing anything. For some reason I thought he was red shirting so I didn't know he sat last year. I must have been thinking of Mueller. Maybe he will get un-lost as the season progresses. When we have bigs that can run the floor is when we are at our best.

I'll bet coach Edwards realizes James is no where near his potential and he wants to keep him hungry to fulfill it. I'll be surprised if he's coming off the bench by tourney time though.

I think James is a 30 a game guy by his senior year.

How is nobody figuring out what's going on with James??? Is he eligible? Theo. Josh Davis. This guy. That's how talented he is. Maybe better.
