So I guess Shyatt's the new guy huh?

Well, to all the Cowboy fans that wanted him, I guess I will say congratulations.

I, however, am truely disappointed. I know that I am probably in the minority but still have a tough time letting go of the last time he was here. Add to the one time that I met the man at a function and unlike what I have heard about how nice he is.. etc. I came away from meeting him as a little disingenuous, cold, and not all about being a true "cowboy" and that has stuck with me for all these years. Not that any of those things make him a good coach or a bad coach or that he knows his X's and O's...etc. And at the time he wasn't a true "Cowboy", obvioulsly, but I hate when my university takes second place to anybody/anything! When his name first came up, I got a sick feeling and have been rooting against that decision with a passion.

But it looks like the deal is going to be made. I hope for my University of Wyoming that it will work this time. However, not that it will effect UW in anyway and will probably hurt me more in the long run, our family has decided that if this thing goes through, we won't be contributing to the CJC any longer. The parking space, seats, etc...... sometimes you just have to go with your gut and after 23 years, enough is enough. Time to spend elsewhere.

I know I might get called a few things and that I am not a true "cowboy" or fan but that's ok.. they are just words. The backers of this decision, I hope he is what you are after!

No offense, but did you really have to tell us your decision not to contribute to the CJC just because you don't agree with the assumed hire?

If we want to pull your contributions, do it. But, I don't think you're changing anyones mind over who they want and why.

Go Pokes!!

Jimmy, I am not trying to change anyone's mind or the way anyone thinks. If you like the hire congrats. I was just stating how I felt about it.

7220fan....I feel like you are justified in doing whatever you want, and expressing whatever you want-as that is what this board is for!

I however, have mixed feelings. I want to be sooooo excited but at the same time the "potential" hire makes me leery. However the more I think about the great experience he had at Florida, the recruits he potentially could bring in to Wyoming with some certain assistants (hopefully Gosar), I get pretty excited about it. Hopefully Shyatt proves his worth and we can all be crazy, juiced up(no steroids please) cowboys fans at the AA once again!

Sorry you feel that way 7220. However, if this goes through I will definitely getting season tickets. I want the good seats when this thing takes off. What the team needs right now are coaches that can recruit and between Duncan from UCLA (Pac-12) and Shyatt (SEC) I think we might be getting that.

Wow Duncan and Gosar with Shyatt? That sounds like a freakin winning staff if I've ever heard one!

Haven't heard that Gosar is going to be...have been reading that Shyatt's son is coming along, though.

It would not be good to see Jackson and M'baye leave...hell, I hope they stay and finally get coached to thier potential. They would provide decent base to start with, especially since Shyatt wouldn't have a whole lot of time to recruit this year...but with all the seniors graduating next year, and with Shyatt^2 and Duncan here for a whole year, that recruiting class could be HUGE!
