It's unfortunate that I probably played my last football of my career and didn't even know it. The season was pretty much doomed when the majority owner passed away before the season began. I credit Alton and Misty Walker for taking the Warriors as far as they could but the money simply wasn't there. There were multiple factors to the financial problems but I certainly never played for the money. It barely covered my gas driving to Cheyenne and back; Especially now living in Pinedale. As was mentioned before, the facility was sub-par for an indoor football team. A city like Cheyenne deserves a better facility if Casper can have one.
I'm happy to have had the opportunity to play in my home state. The worst part is I'm in the best shape of my life and my distance is better than it ever has been but I have no team to play for. I doubt the Calvary are back next year either. This is nothing new in professional indoor football teams come and go quite frequently.
I'm sure you have a pretty cool job with the Wolf Auto Group and fishin' and all that, but if you're in the best shape of your life and your distance is great etc., have you thought about giving the NFL or even the CFL a shot? They have try-outs and I hear the pay's pretty good. Shit, a girl just tried out recently*.
