So, about the Joe Glenn comparison...

I'm curious, any of you guys who called me an idiot still think I'm an idiot? I think there was a comment about Glenn not being able to hold Bohl's jockstrap.

Glenn was better through 5 years. He had the little catch phrase. He had an affinity for a bad oc. However, he did have better teams than Bohl.

Where our roster hurt us was at QB and RB. The departure of Hill last year, hurt our offense and the departure of Allen hurt us this year. It's hard to overcome those things at Wyoming. Our defense would be more consistent if we had an offense that could score and put drives together.....We have some talent on the roster but our timing of classes sucks. We can get a new coach but we will end up in the same place like always. We should try to gut this out and see if Bohl can turn it around.

I don't think you're an idiot. I simply don't agree. Joe Glenn had only 1 winning conference record in 6 seasons. Yes, the schedule was harder in some ways. But the talent he recruited was the worst weve ever seen here - especially at qb. To suggest that his teams could compete with the 2016 or even the 2017 team is just wrong. He only won 15 conference games in 6 seasons and we were routinely blown out by every decent team in the conference. Bohl beat an undefeated (at the time) Boise st. team and SDS in the same season. No doubt this season is bad. But let's wait till the end of next season to put Bohl into the Joe Glen league. If we are even having that discussion, then Bohl may be out the door anyway.

Bohl has had 1 team that would have been marginally competitive in the old MWC. Bohl had fielded the worst team in WYO history and some of the worst offenses.

Glenn had higher ranked teams (Sagarin), significantly harder sos (according to sos numbers), and P5 wins. Glenn had just as many bowl-eligible seasons and a better overall record.

Bohl's teams would also have auto losses to TCU, Utah, and BYU meaning Bohl would have to be undefeated outside of those games to maintain a winning conference record. No way Bohl could do that in Glenn's MWC. I shudder to think of Bohl's teams against a TCU or Utah team back then.

At very least, they are very similar if not slightly in Glenn's favor.

If your wasting your mentality trying to figure out who is the better coach - well, you can sit there and argue this until the end of time.

The fact is, Glenn had different teams, different rules, different plays, and everything was different back then.

That was so many years ago. Maybe Tiller's 10-2 season was something special. Regardless, it doesn't matter.

I wonder if the 1899 team was this cowboy tough or not?

This is all non-sense. Support your university. Support your cowboys. Have some fun with your life - thats all that matters.
