SMU game

This game is showing me how weak jump shooting team the cowboys are. SMU hitting jump shots. At least one guy
 
Nance with a double double with 16 mins to go, I really believe that Nance has broken out of that shadow.
 
Sobey stepping up with Nance on the bench hitting that 3 and getting the charge we need more from him all game long.

Definitly. And fouling him does opposing teams no good, he can make free throws pretty well. Not really someone you want taking 3 pointers, but otherwise, he's pretty flexible but really shines at the post.
 
Well another loss because no one can shoot the 3 when we need it and 2 foul calls at the end of the game not even called.
 
We've played 4 decent teams in the non-conference portion of the schedule and we lost to all 4. Not sure that this team will be anything but a CBI team at best.

I would say that at best this is what they might be but I am thinking they may not even make it to that this year.

CBI would require a pretty nice run in MWC play. Barring unforeseen circumstances, this team is staying home altogether in March.

Very disappointing. Shyatt needs to make some tough decisions in the spring. Need to add a JC big and a JC shooter, both that can come in and start alongside Nance, Grabau, and Adams.
 
There are too many kids they've recruited that don't make an impact. Halderson, Hankerson, The Wyoming kid, Herndon...

Cook is athletic but man he struggles on the floor. What happened with Hankerson? He was supposed to be the difference maker!

Why didn't Trey Washington play tonight?

So many concerns about this team.

One positive... Nance is fantastic.
 
Can't expect any difference than what we have to this stage. Grabau can't break free for an open look, Adams can't make a shot, even though he gunned ten. Sobey, Cooke- very limited. Man don't get me going on Hankerson, futility in motion- a turnover machine. Granberry, yea ok- feel for the kid and can't see any benefit to this tandem recruiting effort that must have been Jeremy's brain child. What the hell is Shyatt thinking in recruiting? We've got nothing in the bank for improvement or dividends on our investment. Everyone is spanking the more money necessary, logic total bs. Go spank your monkey, honestly we are a very shitty offensive team. Washington needs to be on the floor, Hankerson on the pine, and Grabau brought off the bench. The rest of the rotation is a mystery, and from my perspective we move the ball better with LN on the bench. I love what Nance has shown, yet he alone will not be able to carry the rest of his pals. This is turning out to be a continuation of another season of lost opportunity. Larry- it's about the players, not your coaching style that will elevate our game at UW.
