Smith

Not much info but here is what I have been able to dig up. If I get more I will post it.

Poke Pride, you said in the article that both were found guilty...from what I have been able to find, Smith will go on trial in June. He is still technically innocent for now. Only Washington has gone to court for the incident.

kdwrightuwyo, according to the Albany County DA Smith has pleaded guilty and the court appearance on the 4th is for sentencing.

Gotcha...thanks for the clarification.

I'm telling you...this isn't half as bad as the shit that Desmar and group got hand slapped for by Schroyer on New Years Eve 2010. And it isn't in the ballpark of shit that Dees & Wright "overlooked" with such fine individuals that graced the roster.

And wait till its out there who got punched and why charges were pressed. I don't think Larry does anything more than a 1-2 game suspension.

Agreed. McClain too.

This just sounds like a normal Saturday night in Laramie. People talk shit they get punched. My guess is they were at a house party and the people who's house it was exchanged words with and Leonard and Shakir, and told them to leave the party and they wouldn't. If that's the case what a pussy for pressing charges. If Leonard and Shakir actually entered a house and punched a guy and left, then thats no good.

I think you hit it right on the head. I think the two went into a house party and when things went south the host of the party decided they no longer wanted them there. I am sure the cops weren't into believing what shakir and Leonard had to say. I will also say as a student I know most students have a large amount of hate towards athletes inarticulate football and basketball players so any chance they get to mess them up they will. I don't think these two should have any team implications from this event. I have a pretty good idea why Leonard was suspended originally and he should be suspended for that due to NCAA rules. Knowing what a great guy shyatt is I doubt he will kick Leonard off the team. He knows that if he kicks him off he will probably leave the university and go back to tough situations. Shyatt seems like he really cares about making his men better men and if he kicks him off the team he would fail at that with Leonard.
