Smith not invited to combine

Pro day maybe, but I don't think receivers bring their own QBs to throw for them at the Combine.

Smith and NDSU's Marcus Williams were left off nfl combine, however that might not be as bad as you think. their pro days will be crucial and I think Marcus 40 times were like 4.53 and his agent knew if he ran that at combine that would hurt him so he's practicing everyday to get to 4.8 4.9.

Maybe the same for Smith, just didnt want to be exposed to that by his agent?

I highly doubt any small school player would decline an invite/etc. These guys weren't invited......and I'm sure if they answered honestly they would jump at the chance. come on man :twocents:

Definitely should have waited one more year. I wonder who counseled him on the decision? I'm no expert but I do follow drafts every year and this is by far one of the deepest drafts at several positions like WR.

I just don't see teams taking what they would consider a reach on a QB with so many quality players at so many positions. The top QBs will go where they always do, but I think the later round QBs will be drafted lower than normal--if that makes sense.
