My take: No new stadium at CSewe for some time. Paraphrasing here, but it sounds like he's saying, "We couldn't raise the dough, the team isn't putting butts in seats right now, and the community wasn't completely bought in. This is a good idea, but we need to take more time and do it right."

It's interesting to me, because it slows the arms race in the MWC, and it means we'll probably have what we have at the War for a while. That's mostly ok with me, but I hope our AD doesn't look at necessary projects and say, "well hell, CSewe couldn't do it, why should we?"

GO POKES!

Anytime the Ewes get weewee punched is ok with me, but I too fear that it lets the pressure off UW. The west side of the War is absolutely atrocious and needs to be addressed immediately. I fear with no other front range school challenging us, we'll keep the status quo and never update.

I hope they get it built. Now I hope they don't built a stadium with everything they want in it. I hope it turns out kinda pathetic and ugly but having one on campus would be nice for the once every 2 years we play down there. Would be fun to hang out in old town before and after the game without having to make the trek all the way out to Hughes. I hate going out there.

A friend of mine in the construction business told me last weekend that the west side of The War is going out for bids soon. That project is greenlit and ready to get going.

Read it earlier today, and it looks like it's not dead, but rather hanging in limbo. Meaning that the sheep may get an on campus stadium, but it may be an erector set kind of deal.

Momentum suggests it doesn't happen. Too bad, but their attendances do not reflect well.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the west side isn't going to get updated for a while. The RAC expansion is the next big project for the stadium.

To the tune of $40 million? All for the RAC...or was the lower west side part of the plan?
