then for starting a playoff system here we go

mwc/conferece usa merged conferene gets 1 auto bid from those 32
sunbelt/mac/ merged conference gets 1 auto bid from those 32 teams
pac 12 gets 2 auto bids
big 12 gets 2 auto bids
big 10 gets 2 auto bids
big east gets 2 auto bids
acc gets 3 auto bids
sec gets 3 auto bids

Teams that don’t make the national tourney can still play the O’Grady Bucket o’ Chicken Bowl and so forth?
16 teams make the national tourney with eight homes games at the highest seeds. the next four games are played neutral sites (bowls)..one game at the peach bowl, one at the cotton bowl, one at the orange bowl, and one at the gator bowl.
The next two are at the fiesta bowl and the rose bowl.

The national title game would be at the Sugar Bowl.

roughly 143 schools have a legit shot at winning a national title!!!!

easy as that

i have them going to the BE soon...if the west divsion loses anoher school (unlv/fresno) you get sjsu and the north backfills with cal-davis.

BYU is closer to the Big12 than they are the Big East. :twocents:

UC-Davis.. lol. They can't afford to move-up, they're already cutting sports programs.

Yeah except Big XII doesn't want two ego-driven programs. They have enough problems with Texas plus the no-play-on-Sunday rule hurts BYU.

uc-davis has a 26 million dollar athletic budget and 750 million dollar endowment (wyoming 26 million and 280 million)...i think they can afford this if they wanted to?

Any reasonable BYU fan would tell you that ship has sailed. Which means all of their fans think it will happen.

In all seriousness, there's no chance at all of BYU going to the Big XII.

They may have a large endowment, but they're also a very academically oriented school. Athletics has always come second to academics. They're kind of an enigma as they have some decent cash being in the UC system, but they simply don't support athletics. They have a nice football stadium, but it doesn't sell out (holds something like 10,000). With their move to the Big Sky in football next year I'll be curious to see if their football attendance starts going North. They've recently dropped their wrestling program for some reason..

There are 2 basic rules I try to follow in life:

1. Don't drink my own urine.

2. Never type a load of bullshit in all caps on a message board, after having smoked a fatty and washed it down with a fifth of Ancient Age.

It appears skunkapewhatever did both.

I have two rules too.

1. Never stay the night.

2. Never believe they are on the pill.

I say we hijack the thread since I got a headache trying to read about the super duper mega conference that was lined out.

Agree...a hijacking is appropriate here.

3. Don't take the brown acid.

4. Never trust a fart.

5. A stiff dick has no conscious.

Rule #7: Always be specific when you lie.

Rule #8: Never take anything for granted.

Rule #9: Never go anywhere without a knife.

I fixed it for you.

From some of my friends

#10: Puss is puss

and mine, maybe from Chris Rock or somebody. paraphrasing

#11. New puss is better than old puss regardless of how great the old puss is. (many celebrities and athletes know this one) and all puss gets old.

So Wyoming knocks off Colorado State in the last week of the regular season and wins the West division title then knocks off the University of Montana (North Division champions) in the conference semi's and then plays and beats Marshall University (East Divsion champion who beat the South Division champion Southern Mississippi in the other conference semi's) for the conference championship and the right to go to the national tournament to face LSU in Baton Rouge in the first round....

1. sounds like fun?
2. cowboys have a chance of winning/cowboys have no chance at winning?
3. no thanks i'd rather play Toledo in the Humanitarian Bowl or Idaho in the San Franciso Bowl?
4. cowboys beat the Tigers in the first round/Sooners in the Cotton Bowl/Trojans in the Rose Bowl/and the Seminoles in the Sugar Bowl to win their first NCAA football championship?
5. none of the above

:D
