Hoooray, got their 1st(and only) road win and JJ went over the 2000 career point mark as well, hooooray!! Win #7, wow thats still pathetic lol

Thought we played well. TJ Taylor had a great first half. Thought Trace played well. Really everyone played pretty well. We hit shots. And JJ did JJ things but didn't over press. If we had hit free throws it would have been a blowout.

Spot on. I think Banks has his best game as a Poke. He’s turning into quite a basketball player. I agree, if we hit our free throws, including some of the front ends of the 1-1’s, we win by 15

It's amazing how good we look against bad competition. Anyway, congrats, Pokes on the victory. Let's pull an upset in the tourney

I agree that San Jose is bad. Real bad. I do think that this team can play with almost any of the teams in the tourney if we play the same offensively as we did for the first 10 mins of the first half and at various spots the rest of the way. Ball movement was great. We were hitting open looks, crashing the glass some offensively. This team has shown At times they are ready. We just need to put together a complete game. I think we can beat New Mexico. Let’s see what happens Sat

Why do they field teams at D1?

There's a lot of people who ask the same about Wyoming.
No there's not

Yeah, there is. You need to leave Wyoming and spend some time in other MWC cities and you will hear it. I wear the brown and gold glasses too, but our basketball conference record since 2000 is pretty shitty.

2000 - 8-6
2001 - 10-4
2002 - 11-3
2003 - 8-6
2004 - 4-10
2005 - 7-7
2006 - 5-11
2007 - 7-9
2008 - 5-11
2009 - 7-9
2010 - 3-13
2011 - 3-13
2012 - 6-8
2013 - 4-12
2014 - 9-9
2015 - 11-7
2016 - 7-11
2017 - 8-10
2018 - 10-8
2019 - 3-14 with one game left

Six winning seasons, 2 split decisions, and 12 losing years. One conference title (McClain), a 3 way tie for first (McClain) and McClain had 4 of the 6 good years (and one of the .500 seasons). In the past 11 years we've had 2 winning conference records. We are not the dumpster fire that SJSU is, but don't kid yourself, other fan bases don't have our high opinion of the Pokes.

The question is why do we field division 1 teams?
We were in the football conference championship game recently?
We have a near top 10 wrestling program?
Women's soccer won the conference last year?
Cross country just had a great showing?
The Women's team is a 3 seed in the conference tourney?

San Jose is pretty bad. Not saying I know about every one of their sports programs, but we seem to be doing a whole lot better.

I listened hard to all the Wyo should step down etc, there's no way, we belong, the problem is the Power 5 need to break free play amongst themselves and let the "lesser haves" have something to play for as well, use the bowl system as a playoff and move along, that would be fun

Why wait for the power 5 to decide what to "let the lesser halves" have?

Mwc can and should seperate itself into its own level prob with the AAC and an alliance.
