Any chance the coaching staff goes after this guy? He's the former high school team mate of Josh Adams and Hayden Dalton. Being a Colorado kid, he'll probably land in this area. And I doubt an LDS returned missionary would like to play for an alcoholic at CSU, and he proabably won't get the playing time he wants at CU.

We don't have a roster spot available unless there's attrition,however.

That was him. He was pretty highly recruited, had much more in offers than Josh. Maybe Shy can work some magic and pull him into the fold.
 
I think the Pokes were actually trying to get Calvert instead of Josh, but ended up offering Josh anyway.

I think he's already used his redshirt year, so he would come in as a junior in 2017-18 if he transferred to UW.
 
What year would Calvert be? Does he have a redshirt left?

We do have a pretty salty class for 2016 with Austin Meuller, Austin Conway(redshirt), Andrew Moemeka(redshirt), and possibly Morris Marshall if he gets a medical resdshirt.

Do we have room for Calvert, or would he redshirt and join the class of 2017?
 
Not sure where Calvert would fall into our rotation...If were going to go pick up a transfer, I would much rather get an established big. Next season we will have TW3, Liebs, Conway, Marshall, and James who all can handle ball handling duties.

How has east of Cheyenne done so much for this program and have so much more coming. Kenny, Greg sawyer; Thompson could fit right in. Too bad the rest of the state can't produce basketball players like Laramie county
 
I am pretty sure Calvert has his red shirt still. He just got back from his LDS 2 year mission this summer. He never used a red shirt to my knowledge.

Correct. If he doesn't waste his time finding a new school, I think he can sit out one calendar year and begin playing about a year from now (once the next fall semester is complete) and have 2.5 years of eligibility. Or worst case scenario, he sits out all of next year and has 2 years eligibility
 
After seeing him in the BYU uniform, I find the idea of having him in Laramie quite repulsive.

Jimmy Dimes said it right, "We don't need to take any BYU leftovers".

LOL anything that happens in Cheyenne will automatically make it the highest rate in the state but I disagree with shittiest drivers those are all in Rock Springs and Green River.

You may be onto something...

And...as an FYI...I removed County 6 from the "shittiest drivers in Wyoming" title - as they are so clearly above the rest of the state when it comes to shitty drivers, they needed their own category & large purple ribbon.
 
The more I think about this the more I like it. The BYU dipshits on the Mwcboard say he wants a MWC school. We were recruiting Calvert when we got Josh. He's a smart point, good shooter, Riley Grabau type of calming leadership with good athleticism. He's an upper clasdmen for his time in Laramie. I think he would definitely improve the guard pool.

I still think were going to have guard attrition this season: too many bodies and not enough minutes. With Austin Mueller coming in we have a lot of length at the three and four now.

I already like him. We have something in common: neither of us like BYU. ;)

County 9 has the worst drivers. There's only a two stoplights in the whole county and most are drive a John Deere much better than a car. God bless Bighorn county.
