I would assume that if you look at a similar rundown for all of Alabama's signees, you will see a lot of the same terminology. Maybe one or two with something along the lines of "looks to make an immediate impact", but just like most programs, every recruit is just potential that needs to develop (or not) into a player.

I like about 50% of our athletes that we picked up. Some of them are very questionable. We are so incredibly thin on defense yet we only get 10 defensive players and 12 offensive players. Some of the redundant offers at the offensive spots are total head scratchers. I could see if they were highly touted recruits, but it seems like some of the recruits were just for shit & giggles. Nobody says you have to fill every open scholarship. Save a couple for a great walk on or a kid that slipped through the cracks.

It's all a crapshoot until these guys start seeing the field or not. We also need to understand that there will be a change in philosophy on both sides of the ball. Recruiting will not be the same as it has been since Dimel got ride of our TE position.

While we did suck on D last year, we return all but one starter and get a few guys back from injury, redshirt years, etc. A solid offseason workout schedule and a new Cowboy Tough mentality can get the D turned around sooner than later.

Looking forward to the new regime.

Go Pokes!!
