Shyatt to host "Night of Madness."

It appears that Shyatt is going all out. Eric Schmoldt just had some big news on Twitter from his interview with Shyatt.

Just wrapped up visit w/UW hoops coach Larry Shyatt after announcing the signing of Shakir Smith. Knowledge drop in 3, 2, 1... #gopokes

Circle the date of Oct. 14, when Wyoming will host its "Night of Madness." Shyatt sounds like he's doing this thing up right. #gopokes

He hopes to have Dick Vitale doing voice-overs announcing players. Others who could be there: Jeff Van Gundy and Joakim Noah. #gopokes

Shyatt also said there would be things involving other teams and other on-campus things, as well as a few more surprises. #gopokes

Incoming UW freshman Derrious Gilmore has still not arrived in Laramie as he's finishing a class. #gopokes

Will-be UW senior Paco Cruz did end up making the Mexico team for the World University Games; leaves tonight or tomorrow for China. #gopokes

Sweet, Shy's got pretty high standards to live up to. The last guy that actively got the students involved was Larry Shyatt.
