Shyatt Recent Radio Interview: Recruiting

These three guys are transferring from Big 10 schools that fit the wing/pf slot that we're recruiting:

Austin Etherington Indiana (redshirt sophomore/junior next year that is a grad transfer)
Jeremy Hollowell Indiana
Kale Abrahamson Northwestern

My guess is Nathan Hawkins from Nebraska.

Shyatt also mentioned a prep school kid that has a foreign background. I had thought our interest in Pape Diatta was pretty old, but he would fit the bill.

Could be Darius Stokes from Iowa. He fits what we are looking for, 6'7" SF that is eligible immediately.

Possibly Jon Horford from Michigan, 6'10" PF. He just announced that he is transferring. Shyatt had some success coaching his older brother at Florida.

Those quotes are great to read now that he's been here a few years. They all ring true. I honestly couldn't be happier with Coach Shy and the direction he has the basketball program going.

Well, I was wrong on both counts. Hawkins is going to UTA and as noted elsewhere the foreign/prep school player is the kid from Sunrise Academy.

Curious who the Big 10 transfer might be.

Doesn't look like we are in the mix for Horford. Appears that he will be transferring to Florida and play for Donovan. Will be curious to see who visits this weekend. The kid from Northwestern was supposed to be on our radar but he already chose Drake.
