Should we dare? Score predicitons for Saturday...

Utah 52 UW 0 was my first stab. But then I realized a couple of things. Assingham will want to score more than that, just so people out in Alabama (that don't know where Utah is) will see a huge margin, and start paying attention to them. If it does rain/snow, that plays into the Tardians hand...as our run D was just a bit suspect last week. I think we get a fluker & a FG this weekend as well.

Utah 58 UW 9

Damn that hurts.

With the expected weather and the mess that happened last year, the Utes are going to just want to get the hell out of Laramie and they will not score as many points as we all might expect. 31-6 Utah, and they might start kneeling on it halfway through the 4th.

So even though my optimism is mainly gone I still can't predict a loss...here it goes and based off our current trends I will be the one looking like a dumbass come tomorrow afternoon...Wyoming 24 Utah 21.

Cowboys experiment with the towel boy at wide receiver, he runs into a laundry list of problems. Our 1 bright spot scores our only pts as we double our conference scoring total.

49-3

We suck, and I hate it.

Snowman...it does not make you a bad fan, to voice a realistic opinion. I know you must not be able to bring yourself to do so...but rest assured, I believe in you, and know you can. Being a UW football fan this year is kind of like being a drug or alcohol addict...it is tough to admit, but when you do, you can move on, look to the future, and heal.

McP - I have no problem with people voicing their opinions about the outcome and predicting a Pokes loss. That's the problem, I realistically still believe we can find a way to win. I can't provide any factual evidence or basis for my prediction. This year especially the way we have been playing I am pissed, bummed, etc all week long but come Friday I have enough optimism that the Brown and Gold blood starts surging through my veins again and I honestly believe we will win every game we play until proven otherwise. Am I a homer and completely an addict when it comes to the Pokes, no doubt about it, but honestly I worry more about the day that I become apathetic and start predicting that the Pokes will lose than I do about looking like an idiot when the final score is in.

Snow - I wish the team felt like you. I honestly don't think that they believe that they can win. They might say it but after getting drummed week after week, your spirit goes away. Life is not fun if you are a poke right now.

Remember the hapless Mets of years ago? They were bumbling, fumbling jokes. But because they were so bad, fans turned out to see them. Maybe treat the Pokes this year the same way. Instead of watching for all the good things they do (if any), watch for all the gaffes and marvel at how bad a team can be.

I will totally agree with you. I will also be a dumbass and take your score.

Utah = Good, Wyoming = Terrible
We can't hold onto the ball when the weather is perfect, how can we be expected to do so when it is raining/snowing? I'll give Wyoming the +3 pts for it being homecoming, but that's about all they get...

Utah 38, Wyoming 3

Prove me wrong, Pokes...prove me wrong...

McPeachy, your explaination for being a UW football fan is right on point. I never thought about it like that. LOL. That is absolutely on point and funny as hell. I had a co-worker as who we played this weekend. I simply replied, "We are going to lose to Utah. My only hope is that it is not bad." It is hard to admit being a "believer" or a "fan." LOL...so I have admitted it, lol...hopefully I can start the heeling process soon.

If this game doesn't have every Cowboy that got their ass handed to them in SLC last year pumped up, then nothing will.
I think this game will really put any doubts to rest about the players toughness. No doubt, I see a handful of guys still busting their asses (DMO for one). If the Boys give it all they have, win or lose, then I feel better about the players character. If they continue to play with the same lack of emotion then, well, I say hand in the scholarships and go join Goodman.
I won't go as far as Snowman but I say we cover the spread this week.
