Well, that makes five weeks under 100 yards rushing total...

Another underclassmen? Maybe we'll see what that Overstreet kid really looks like? I remember his catch for 11 yards last week! He runs like Hill and looks just as big!

Agree. Kind of concerning though, that Bohl has burned the RS of Overstreet, and to date, he hasn't done anything on the ground out of the backfield that I am aware of.
Shaun, on the other hand, has been un-Shaun like all season. Maybe struggling with the concussion since fall camp, but he is certainly not the Shaun of last year...or year before that.

You HAVE to get Overstreet more touches. If you burned his redshirt - and if he has game breaker potential - you've got to get creative plays installed to get his speed and athleticism involved. I don't know if it's lining up a Wildcat with Hill, I don't know if it's putting him in the slot, but he's got to be on the field more frequently. The caliber of defense Wyoming is about to play (for the remainder of the season, really) is much higher than any of the first four that they've faced - all four were pretty bad.
I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think Overstreet will see the freshman year success that Hill experienced. From the 1st game, we saw Hill making plays on special teams (involved on the blocked punt) and still managing to get some carries despite being behind 2 solid running backs. Not saying Overstreet won't be successful if given touches, but I don't see him breaking any conference records this year. I think coming from such a small school (and small competition) has prevented Overstreet from quickly adapting to the pace of Div 1 football.

His redshirt wasn't burned because he was needed at running back, it was burned because he's needed on special teams. That's the state of the program right now until we can build more depth.
Redshirt is technically not burned until the day he graduates. He can redshirt at any time. And wasn't there some kerfuffle at the beginning of fall camp that he didn't want to redshirt?

I think the concussion during fall camp really, really messed up Shaun. I hope he gets back to his old self.

If he's got that kind of talent, he can't just languish during his freshman season if he's not redshirting. They've got to find creative ways to get him the ball. Derrick Williams at Penn State in 2005 was a perfect example. They had been completely stagnant for the previous two seasons, he came in as the #1 overall recruit, but they lined him up at receiver, tailback, and even occasionally used him in the wildcat at quarterback. Williams was a big catalyst in Penn State turning the corner his freshman season and going from 4-7 to 11-1.
I know Overstreet isn't the #1 overall recruit in the nation, but it's all about relativity...and when it comes to UW, he may as well be. Need to get him the ball.
