The Cheyenne Central graduate and sophomore defensive end for the University of Wyoming found out in April that he was born without a right kidney and had a cyst about the size of a softball on top of his pancreas.
At the time, Edeen wasn’t sure if his playing career was over, and there were many questions about his long-term health.
But after tests and visits with several doctors, Edeen is working out with his teammates in Laramie this summer in preparation for the upcoming season.
Edeen said the cyst is not a health concern right now and can be removed after he’s done playing football.
“That’s what I’m leaning towards right now because I don’t want to have any time away from football right now,” Edeen said earlier this week after a workout in Laramie.
