semi-OT: Rich Gannon on Raiders

"People out in Oakland, in that building, players, coaches, front office, people in business, accounting -- stealing," Gannon said. "They ought to give the check back. ... When you lose like that, how can you go to the bank and cash the check? Should be embarrassed. ... They're stealing. That's a problem."

"They have a sign in front of their building that says, 'Commitment to Excellence.' They ought to take it down. It's false advertising; [it should say] 'Commitment to Mediocrity,'" Gannon said. "It's a culture and environment that has existed for years. ... You let things slide, don't pay attention to detail ... and don't have a high degree of professionalism and account in that building, that's a problem."

I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin.

There are some normal ones in CA. I'd say for sure every raiders fan in like CO and WY etc is definitely a dirtbag!

Hey..be nice. Two of my relatives in WY ARE Raiders fans.

I feel dirty saying that especially since I'm a Seahawks fan.

Don't have anything against Oakland really. But that's me. I'm neutral to most NFL franchises. Except Denver. I like some of the players, like Mitch Unrein (obviously) and Peyton Manning, but as a franchise, I don't care for it.

I don't care for Denver either mainly due to Peyton and that damned current logo. :tickedoff:

Haha, just messing man. There are lots of normal raider fans, but there has definitely been an adoption of the colors and logo by some less than desirable people in our society. I'm actually a cardinals fan, and really looking forward to the game on Sunday but I'm afraid we are too thin on defense, and out QB situation is shaky

I'm a "normal" Raiders fan.

What started as just a playful rivalry with my Grandpa (Broncos fan) growing up turned into the real deal with Marcus Allen, Tim Brown, Jeff Hostetler, Howie Long. I loved them. Couldn't care less who Al Davis was way back then.

Unlike most, who swap teams every few years, here I am. A normal white boy in Wyoming who loves the Silver & Black.

The last decade has not been pretty, it's been embarrassing, but I'm not going anywhere and I'll laugh at the Broncos fans that disappear when Peyton leaves and they aren't tops in the division anymore. 70% will just vanish.

I did see normal fans in Cali when I was raider country, but still have yet to see one in Wyoming. I guess that means I know everything I need to know about BackHarlow. Lol

70% will just vanish?
Is that why the Broncos have been sold out every home game in Denver since 1970?
And the Broncos are the only AFC West team to not relocate or change their name.
So talk your Raiders crap some more while you guys make a strong effort to be the next 0-16 team.

Really tired of Broncos fans bringing up the sold out game streak. This is the NFL, not MLB, there are sellouts ALL the time.

I get it, sellout every game since 1970, fairly impressive, but that isn't the longest streak in the NFL (Green Bay Packers) it isn't even the 2nd longest streak in the NFL (Washington Redskins). So the Broncos sit in 3rd, and right on their heels (within 10 games) are the Pittsburgh Steelers. Yes, it's more than the Raiders, but I find it a little ridiculous when Broncos fans throw out the sellout stat as if it is far and away the longest in the NFL, it's about 50 games and 5 years short.

I do agree, however, that 70% of Broncos fans won't just up and vanish. However, the Broncos went from ~14th most popular in the US pre-Peyton signing to ~3rd most popular today does certainly sounds like a lot of bandwagon fans to me.

You're so emotional!

Let me re-phrase...70% of Broncos fan outside of Colorado. That seems more accurate.

Sorry I just really hate the Raiders.

That sell-out stat is bullcrap, though. I went to a few games between 2008 and 2010 where there were half sections missing.
