Did you guys hear SDSU's coach sticking up for NMST on how the travel situation occurred. I bet his players love him....and hope NCAA sanctions don't "mysteriously" come up due to him calling them out on it.

*And yes I'm aware of what went on at Michigan. :twocents:

We don’t want to go home tonight. It’s 10 minutes after 11. By the time you get back to the hotel, did they want us to tell our kids pack your bags and if we win we’ll go back?
It’s disgraceful. For the billions of dollars that we have here, for them not to find a way to accommodate these kids, the student athletes. You can’t tell me they couldn’t find charter planes.
…we can say we want to do all these things for the benefit of the student athletes, but you play a game like we did tonight and you get to the airport at 1 in the morning?
I would like to have every, every go from the top up administratively, have them at a site and allow and say you’re going to ride home with that losing team … It shouldn’t happen.

Meh, I dont see a problem with what he said. I actaully kind of agree with him. I live close to Weber State. Many of these student athletes will NEVER play in a game like this again. Let the guys stay and enjoy the experience.

That's the situation for every team. When we lost to Arizona in 2002 the team, band, cheerleaders, staff, administration, and anyone else there on the University's dime were on a plane within 2 hours. It was pretty hectic getting out of there, but I guess that's just how things work.

I actually think it was a classy thing to say as he was sticking up for another team.

In this instance I think it was too. Fisher has a knack for sticking his nose where it doesn't belong, though. Remember how he went off when we canned Schroyer?

Loudmouth wasn't technically fired. He "left" before the end of the season.

Still, that was that, this is this. And in "this" case, I agree with Fisher.

Yeah me too. I sure dislike the crusty old balls, but whenever anyone stands up to ncaa at anytime, I tend to agree.
