SDSU....I'm not buying it!

I don't see us stopping SDSU, even at home. You can say what you want about their schedule, but they don't putz around. They also had one letdown game, but it hasn't happened again. They gave up 7 to UNLV. They beat Nevada by 30, we got them by a single score...

On the positive side, we do get the chance to take down another ranked team!

I think we have the better offense, but sadly, SDSU's defense is miles ahead of ours.

Everyone should definitely predict a win for the team that gave up 70 points and 400 rushing. Pumphrey will die of exhaustion from running up and down the field in this game.

After the UNLV game, you called the defense "losers" and that they should walk home. Now, you seem almost giddy predicting a loss this coming week. Are you a former UW employee who was fired? It's obvious you're a troll or you've got an axe to grind. Take that butt ugly avatar of yours and go away.
No, I'm a realist. A terrible UNLV team just ran up and down the field on us. What do you think one of the best running backs in the nation is going to do?

That's a pessimistic view that does not take into consideration the full body of work. We are the same team that beat Boise State and Air Force and CSU when we went in the game as even bigger dogs. Vegas only set this as 7.5 favorites for the ranked Aztecs.

We are a better team then we played last week just like they were a better team then they played when they lost to some Alabama school that I have not heard of. Every team is capable of being beat and we have proven this year that we are capable of competing with and beating very good teams. Even Nebraska until the fourth quarter was competitive for the pokes. Are we under dogs? You bet we are but I like it that way.

We had been good at stopping a lot of great runners. Not sure why UNLV was able to do what other could not. Looked a lot like bad tackling but UNLV had an extra week to prep and maybe they found something

So they are allowed a let down game and we're not. UNLV is a better team than South Alabama and our players admitted they got to involved in the press clippings

It wont' be easy...but as you mention, it is another opportunity for us to take down a top 25 program.

You think they're a better top to bottom team than Boise State? Because I don't... Pumphrey is a monster no doubt but I think we have a great chance to beat them. Should be fun!

Agreed! Don't count the pokes out when they have given so many reasons for us to believe this season

I think Boise is better...largly due to the fact SDSU hasn't really had to prove themselves this year. They will bring in a very strong running attach, but Boise had a more balanced O and Rypien is heads and shoulders better than their guy.

Allen and the entire D need to bring their A games. But, it is a winnable game IMO.

It's hard to have a let down game when you're not getting beat up, physically or emotionally, the week before due to a weak schedule. Hell, their let down game loss was to South Alabama, for the 2nd year in a row. Sure, we did the same with EM, but at least they've been around for a hundred years. South Alabama's program is only 10 years old and ten years ago they were playing Hargrave Military Academy and Fort Union Military Academy. Sure SDS only gave up 7 to UNLV, but they also only scored 26. We scored more than that on Boise State. Plus, we dropped more than twice what they did on UNLV. Each week is different, they just played UNLV more balanced than we did. A lot more balanced.

I'm also not so sold on their defense. They played one good offense so far, Cal, and they gave up 40 points and over 500 yards passing! In our non-common opponents they've faced offenses ranked 9, 86, 97,103 & 117 (avg. 82). We've faced offenses ranked 17, 39, 44, 50 & 75 (avg. 45). They have the better record, but we've had the harder schedule. And we're home. And, it would be so cool to face 3 ranked teams in one season and take down 2 of them.

I think he will do only what his offensive line will allow him to do. We have the same defense that gave up only 7 points in the second half to Boise state. But you've got your mind made up. The defense had a bad game. Therefore, the next game will be equally bad. Happy now?

If these assticks and their fans (some of which are evidently on this board) think the Wyoming team that showed up in Las Vegas last Saturday will be the same team that shows up this Saturday, they will be in for a surprise. Let's see if they can beat a team with a winning record - and yes, Wyoming earned every one of those wins.

Agreed. And we have Priester back this week. That will certainly help Hull get a needed break from 60+ minutes a game.

I know it's a crazy thought, but I actually think last week's loss could be a good thing.

This is still a young team. Guys are still maturing both mentally and physically. I think some of the discussions around here were a bit premature (I'm guilty of it too). I think we got a bit too caught up in the hype of the 5-game win streak.

The great thing is, most of our issues are correctable. We're going to still need a great performance, but I think removing the pressure around NY6/hosting MWC title game speculation is huge moving forward. Let's get back to being the hunter instead of the hunted.

They have had one let down game. We have had 2 let downs and 1 blow out. That would indicate they are probabky the better team. Pokes have a chance to beat them on Saturday to settle who really is the better team but you can't argue that they haven't been up until now.

I don't know if I would call eastern Michigan a let down although it's a game we could have won. They are bowl eligible already

You calling them a terrible team just shows you didn't pay attention to any of their games.

They aren't world beaters but they are better than they are getting credit for. I was pretty sure it was going to be a shoot out as soon as I saw the QB they were starting I was worried.

Most likely they are a better team. Rocky has had a longer time to build that program. Their Oline is mostly seniors with one junior and ours is comprised, at the moment, of one senior, a converted TE sophomore, two true sophomores, and a true freshman.

Two of our losses have been to bowl eligible team. All of our losses have been on the road...theirs too. We are 1-1 vs ranked teams. And have played 5 teams with a winning record. SDSU hasn't played anyone with a winning record and got their butts kicked by 18 by a 9th play Sun Belt team.

I agree, you need to look at the quality of opponents. I had to tell it to the dumb ass Air Force fan last month who was acting like they were going to run the table because they beat Navy, while their other wins were Ab. Christian, Georgia State and Utah State. UNLV is not a powerful team, but they are probably just that OT loss to Idaho from being a bowl team themsleves, plus they are in 2nd place behind SDS in the MWC West division, which shows the quality of opponents that SDS has been facing. A team so many of us are bummed out and maybe embarrassed that we lost to, yet they're in 2nd place. The Mountian division has one team with a losing record the West division ony has one with a winning record. And who has SDS played from our division so far? Our one bad team. We're far from perfect, but we're no Utah State this year. We can lose, hell, they're a ranked team. But I still feel we win this one.

Pumphrey is feeling real good about himself right about now, breaking records, tweeting about his own greatness and this week receiving a handful of Heisman "poll" votes, which I assume he'll tweet about later today. As our guys hopefully learned last Saturday, you better be prepared for the guys that are about to punch you in the face and worry about where you're going to put all your trophies when the season ends. I hope they come to Laramie as unfocused as we seemed to be in Vegas, combined with a couple early hard hits on their star running back and a couple long offensive drives, featuring our star running back, that tires out their sea level lungs.

After we beat them, Colorado State will probably beat them next week.
