Why would any really decent offensive talent consider accepting an offer from Wyoming despite assurances they would be a big part of the offense?
The last time Wyoming was a potent scoring offense was in 2016 when we hosted the MWC championship game.
Here are the year by year rankings in scoring offense:
2025 - 116
2024 - 123
2023 - 80
2022 - 110
2021 - 84
2019 - 91
2018 - 119
2017 - 104
2016 - 25
That’s a 103rd in the nation average since 2016. It’s a clear message if you have NFL ambitions as an offensive player you won’t get any notice playing offense at Wyoming despite the legend #17 playing for Buffalo. Either that or it says you might be pretty good at your position but you will be surrounded by offensive ineptitude.
At least Bohl moved the needle a little bit a couple of times after 2016.
