Score Predictions for the game tonight

I was just noticing that I didn't see a thread dedicated to predictions. I'm going to go with the pokes winning a close game with Brett having a strong comeback from injury and the pokes holding FSU similar to Nevada. I'm looking for a score of 38-35 Wyoming with a game winning kick as the clock expires. Go POKES!

My heart says Pokes put something together and roll 38-24

But my head says fresno covers the spread.

Can't see the Pokes scoring more than 20 or the Californicators less than 40, so will go with
FS 42 Pokes 17.

I think we score more then 20. San Diego State put up 40 on these guys at home I can't see any reason we can't do the same. If Brett stays vertical I don't think a close game in the 40's would be unreasonable.

Wyoming has only scored 40 once this year, and that was against Idaho, who just gave up 56 points to La Tech in the 1st half! The numbers this season haven't suggested Wyoming can get in scoring matches with everyone. Top point total was 40, falls to 31 after that. Just pointing out, everyone keeps expecting scoring battles, but UW continues to not perform on that level offensively.

I have to agree and disagree, Let's look at the statistics they tell a lot about how some of us feel.

* Key
F = Points For
A = Points Against
PPQ = Points per Quarter

F First Quarter: 50 points (8.3 average ppq) vs A First Quarter: 44 points (7.3 ppq)

F Second Quarter: 46 points (7.7 average ppq) vs A Second Quarter: 52 points (8.7 ppq)

F Third Quarter: 16 points (2.7 average ppq) vs A Third Quarter: 38 points (6.3 ppq)

F Fourth Quarter: 47 points (7.9 average ppq) vs A Fourth Quarter: 37 points (6.2 ppq)

We are absolute shit in the 3rd quarter and I've been complaining about it personally since the Texas game. We can come out strong, we start to slow down in the 2nd but not much but we also give up a ton of 2nd quarter points. Then we come out in the 3rd quarter no matter if we are O or D we are dead flat. We give up a lot of points and we barely move the ball.

This isn't just a small issue this is a huge issue and has cost us all 5 losses. If the defense that showed up against Nevada and even 1st half of Air Force had shown up every week and we weren't w/o Herron or Smith all season long I'm going out on a limb here but I say we are 5-1 right now only loss being to Texas.

We have 2 problems, coasting in the 3rd with a lead to blow it and lose and a defense that can't maintain so that when we are in coast mode we coast with the lead.

Damn! I was almost certain the Pokes would score first with a FG. Didn't happen, so didn't quite make my prediction.
