Just saw that on the mwcboard (finally back up). I guess TV negotiations are not going as well as most SUDS and SPUDS fans were yelling about. And YBU is having issues with scheduling in football, especially late in the season. They're getting roped into a bunch of 2 for 1s, with them getting the 1 at home.

Anyone else starting to get dizzy with all this

Make up your damn minds!

For the MWC i think its a plus esp when it comes to media rights/deals. Adding BYU again adds in part of the SLC market and Provo and also with Utah State coming in next year, keeping SDSU keeps us the san diego market, and the boise market with keeping boise. But i honestly think we would keep Boise and SDSU and deny BYU as it would be a 13 school conference with BYU and they would probably try to find another school

I say the Big East is numbered. They can't say that Idaho is a recruiting hot bed. Plus how many recruits come out of the San Diego area that will want to play for a Big East team. The MWC is in position to be really good. I am guessing that BSU and SDSU an get out of the Big East based on a clause or breach of contract with the TV deal. Or even steal a team like Houston from the C-USA, which has not done well with expansion. ODU a good football team will not be able to compete for a few years. The MWC could be the "fifth" team in every year, and compete also.

Let BYU come back. Say what you will and I hate them also but it adds a good football program to the conference and basketball should they come back, which leads to more exposure. The Big 12 will expand with Pitt if need be so WVU will have its rival. Utah State was a huge addition and SJSU brings a little bit more of Cali to the market. Come on Craig Thompson don't let this slip away.

It's practically falling right into his lap right now, the way this is shaping up.

If SDSU and Boise, and BYU come back to the MWC... (not saying I want it, but just IF)

Then we have one of the strongest B-ball conferences in the country.

Mtn:
AFA (not very good)
CSU (decent)
WYO (about to be real good)
NM (real good)
BYU (real good)
USU (real good)

West:
SDSU (real good)
Fresno (okay...)
UNLV (real good)
Nevada (pretty good)
SJSU (ok?)
Boise St. (decent)

I'd say that is 5-6 maybe even 7 bids in a good year...

We would have to be up there with the likes of the ACC, Big East, and Big 10 yeah?

Oh well, probably won't happen. We are still a great -ball conference without them.

Unlike SDSU and BSU, BYU actually backstabbed the MWC and made a move that very much could've meant the conference's demise. Let's not forget this (and I certainly hope the MWC doesn't). What's to stop them from trying something like that again?

Fool me once, etc...

What we do know:
Maryland is going to the Big 10.
Rutgers is due to announce the same tomorrow.
ACC wants a 14th football member and looks at either UConn or Louisville (both Least teams).
Least loses at the very least, the biggest TV market in the US, and quite possibly another huge one with who ever the ACC picks off.
This in turn further cripples any TV vantage they would have in negotiations.
Which in turn means much less money.
Right now we have SUDS's Pres saying he has not contacted the MWC (though it's a moot point, since they do whatevver SPUDS tells them too).
SPUDS has shown they really don't care abut anyone but themselves (not as bad as YBU, but it is there), so no need to tell SUDS anything until they feel they should.
YBU launched a plan that very well could have demolished the MWC for their own gain, with little regard to who would be affected.
Don't see why SUDS and YBU would even be on talking terms unless AndreAztec was their bastard child.

No! Don't let BYU come back. They will find a way to make money for themselves, while screwing the rest of the conference! I don't want that back. Yeah, their bball and fball are good, but the shit they pull against the conference and the other programs...NOT WORTH IT!!!!

I'm with you there! Besides that, there is that espn contract bywho has that doesn't need to be a part of the MWC's problems.

It's like your girl friend dumping you to try out the other guys then realizing that your dick was pretty big after all.
