Sawvel's behavior

rocket city poke

I saw a couple of posts on facebook regarding Sawvel's behavior -- throwing objects, using profanity, making obscene gestures. At the end of the day he is still a representative of the University of Wyoming. Just curious as to if anyone saw the behavior and had any additional comments or felt he stepped over the line?

Well, he's in good company with two other HCs at UW.

Joe Glenn's middle finger salute vs. Utah back in the middle 2000s.
CDC's Howdy Doody moment where he tried to punch AFA's HC Calhoun roughly 15 years ago.

Jovon is a tremendous former player that is building his resume. He is not, at present, HC material. If he hadn't played at UW, we would all be uber-mad if Burman hired him to replace Sawful. I know I would be.

Yelling at Sandvik as he came off the field after his second miss was pretty bizarre.

I have absolutely no problem with some anger being shown by the head coach of a 4-5 football team. As long as he wasn't physically assaulting someone, then this is one of the few times I'm on Sawvel's side.

I think Sawvel is starting to feel the heat...only time will tell whether that is justified or not. He is quickly realizing that a failure here could seriously damage his career arc and he is starting to panic a little bit. It's why he made the move with Johnson at OC and he is now starting to lose patience with the players.

I think it was fair. His FG attempt barely landed at the goal line. In an age when kickers are making fg's from 60 yards, we have a kicker who seems to have a range of about 35 yards. There are probably players on the basketball team who can kick it further. I know Luke Martinez could.

I had to think about this, but damn is this funny. Seriously well played.

I also think it was fair. My wife said "what the heck was that?" It looked like he pulled up or something. I thought a whistle blew or there was a time out.
