San Diego State Football: Pre-Season Report Card

San Diego State Football: Pre-Season Report Card (too long to post in forum) at:

Excerpt regarding game at Wyoming:

On 11/24/2012, San Diego State plays at Wyoming, which will be a tough game for San Diego State. Wyoming has a strong team and the elevation of Wyoming’s Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium is a sky high 7,220 feet. Symptoms from acute mountain sickness, (dizziness, fatigue, and shortness of breath), typically begin at an elevation of 8,000 feet. Worse, the game at Wyoming will definitely be very cold, probably be very windy, and possibly be played in sleet and/or snow.

Let me say this, I pretty much agree with your write up on SDSU.

Just don't let any SDSU fan see the marks you gave their team, especially on the MWC board.

I received a hilarious "hate e-mail" from a Minnesota fan because I wrote that the heat in Las Vegas would negatively effect Minnesota in their game against UNLV in Las Vegas. The e-mail was time stamped at 1AM. Liquid courage?

90% of the responses have been very good. A few people have respectfully disagreed with my grades and offered good rebuttals to my grades.
10% of the responses have been "you're an idiot," but offered no rebuttal to my grades. (Some of those posters wrote "your (sic) an idiot.")

A few weeks ago, I added the following disclaimer to my blog:

My Policy Regarding Content and Tone of My Reports

I closely scrutinize the content and tone of my reports to ensure that my reports are fair and objective.
However, my commentary regarding the performance of players will be lenient because they are unpaid amateur athletes. Moreover, the players are still young adults who deserve a measure of leniency. Remember, the facts will speak for themselves.
Conversely, my commentary regarding the performance of coaches and administrators will not be lenient because they are highly paid professionals, but such commentary will be fair and objective.

SDSU fans just think they are a great and consistent football school, right up there with schools like BYU, OU, and Nebraska. So, they don't take criticism very well, and call anyone who points out flaws in their line-up/rational, they call those people butt-hurt.

Before I posted the SDSU report, an SDSU blogger was regularly interacting with me.
After I posted the SDSU report, that SDSU blogger gave me the silent treatment. Very immature. I say: "Don't cry for me MWC." (That rhymes!)
My reports are fair and objective. If a reader disagrees, I encourage them to present their opposing opinion. A reader from Fresno State presented a good opposing opinion to my report on Fresno State, which I posted on my blog.

Sounds like one of the better ones then.
