Here's what I know about Sewell. He has talent but doesnt really give a shit about getting on the field to contribute. There are guys like Mulhardt, Gentry and the walk on Wyoming kid who plays receiver who are busting their ass to get on the field. Thats what I want to see. Not excuses about an undisclosed illness that happened in the Spring. We need players that want to play now! Otherwise they're just taking up a spot that could be used to get a defensive back or a linebacker dont mean to be harsh but im tired of losing. We need kids that want to make a difference.
I'd agree with you're thinking, all the talent in the world doesn't get you shit if you don't work at it and appy it and bust your ass every day, like the Gentry's, the Mulhardt's, the Simpson's do

If Sewell doesn't play, it's a redshirt, regardless of the reason (medical, academic, etc.). He was offered by UCLA, but maybe Wyoming appealed to him for whatever reason. maybe he thought he'd see the field sooner. Who knows.

The flood of players that we had leaving has dramatically reduced lately. I hope the fact that our coaching staff is on the hot seat isn't making them go back to their old MO of riding the shit out of the players for things not related to their performance or attitude.

At the end of the day, there are so many reasons why players might leave. Calling them quitters is easy, but there are probably many reasons they leave. I've said this before, but a player that has wanted to play DI football his whole life, gets the chance and suddenly leaves, doesn't sound right. They have their reasons.

From what I heard, Arwabi was a total prick. I knew a kid who was a walk on last season, and he told me that Arwabi was the biggest prick in the locker room.
He said there is being mean, being a prick, talking shit, then there was Sam Arwabi.
Why do people like that talk shit to walk ons? Why don't they go and run their mouth to someone like Josh Biezuns or Gabe Knapton or Mike Purcell?

It's the mentality of "I am on scholarship, I'm doing this for free and you gonna pay out the ass for the same thing, so obviously i must be better than you"-and not just better at football

I can definitely see this. I don't know Sam, but I understand the attitude. Unfortunately, the coaches indirectly do the exact same thing, with quotes like "are you going to let a walk-on take your spot" and they make many of the walk-ons the team bitches. I guess the scholarshipped players see this and then some of them cop the same attitude. The crazy thing is that we've been real lucky with walk-ons, from Unrein to many of the kickers in the DC era.

And Zach Bolger was a damn good walkon reciever too

Christensen confirmed this morning that both Awrabi and Anaya are gone.

I talked to Wick today and he told me that they quit because they never got to play so quit.
Then him and some other players started arguing over whether he (Awrbai) quit or got kicked off.

Lol not my fault that even the players didn't know if he got kicked off or quit.

I talk to Wick quite a bit and this was just part of the conversation. I wasn't trying to cause a rift lol.

Lol...just giving you shit

I think the Arwabi thing was a combination of both. He wasn't playing, im sure he was extremely frustrated dealing with injuries over the course of his Wyo career. Now he's healthy and couldn't see the field. I heard he had a bad attitude and regularly missed organized team activities. When confronted about his absence or tardiness, he would regularly cop an attitude with the staff. This sounds like he didn't want to be here and CDC facilitated his departure. Wick would definitely know more than most as they roomed together as freshmen according to past twitter posts. I like to follow a lot of the players looking for insiders information on the team. Beaver poke is Wick as funny a guy as he seems in interviews, or is he pretty intense like he is on the field?

Hmm. Has some funny moments. His funny moments are mostly when talking about other teams defenses. He'll be like "Oh you know I am gonna run it on them all day" followed by a half cocky-half joking laugh. I told him to do some ridiculous TD dance and he started laughing and said "Oh you know I got you I'll bust out some fly-smooth shit".
Then I wore an Oregon State hoody and he just started talking shit on the Beavers lol.

He is definitely not intense the way he is on the field.
I don't where his switch gets turned on.

Because on the field, he is a freaking wrecking ball. Like a Miley Cyrus type wrecking ball. You just want to get out of the way of that shit.
