Rumor Mill: Alvester going pro?

This is what I'm hearing through the grapevine..... take it for what it's worth. I guess we'll know soon enough.

Bad advice? Guys from schools like Wyoming can't just declare for the draft without being absolutely stand out... AA wasn't absolutely stand out, nor was he the best player on the team this past season... must be a thin RB draft or something..

Odd move.....whoever is speaking into AA's ear needs to stop. I know money is crucial, more for some than others, but he is not going to get drafted.

+1 I got a better shot of being the next heir to the Playboy Magazine empire than AA getting drafted into the NFL!!!!

Bad move by AA. He never showed anything this year that would convince anyone that he would be a contributor at the NFL level. He wasn't even the best running back on the team!

I didn't even think he was the best back on the team this year, didn't he have the lowest yards per carry out of our RBs?

That sucks.

We will miss him but we will survive. I don't get the hate for him saying he has no chance to make it in the NFL. We don't have any idea. Im sure he's been talking to people who know something. Maybe getting bad advice but who knows. The NFL has all sorts of running backs that came out of places smaller than wyoming and didn't tear it up in college. Alvester does have great speed which is needed in the nfl. We will have to see what the experts think after his pro day.

I would like to thank Alvester for his hard work and for representing the University of Wyoming while he was here. And I hope he can continue to represent us well at the next level.

^^^^
This.

Alvester is a stud and I wish him the best. He WAS the best back on the team this year and I'm a big Miller fan. He was under utilized in my opinion and that could be part of it. DC sure has a TERRIBLE record of having seasoned players walk on him. He is FAR from Mr. personality and I 'suspect' that his Mr. Macho, Mr. Tough Guy persona gets OLD to these kids real quick. Good luck, Alvester.
