Rewatching the game and using slowmo... A few take aways

Arnold had a hell of a game, so did abojey. Really strong tandem.

Fullbacks need work. When we went 22 package .. they didn't get much push. More like ballet dancing from the FB position. They danced and showed indecision. That can be coached up.

Again, Arnold and Abojey were very good.

Nice. I was going to ask someone knowledgeable about the oline performance. They seemed to get a really nice push at times. Other times not so much. Overall there is obvious improvement from last year.

Big E is... big. And moves well for his size! Seems like good depth is emerging

Very! I was amazed how small he made the other guys on the o-line look. I think he'll only get faster as he practices more following the concussion

Who the hell was keeping stats for this game? Completely riddled with errors. They list Nick Smith as having a sack.

I was blown away by Evans and Valladays ability to hit a hole with force. They put their foot in the ground and boom made the cut. I was also very impressed with their ability to get skinny going through the line. Some of those holes were tight and they turned what would have been a no gain (or loss) last season into positive momentum. Theres no doubt the offense still has a lot to work on but the RBs look good.

The DLine looks crazy good and deep. Trey Woods got a sack last night... we have so many edge rushers that I didn’t really see much from Gaifhan... it’s hard to say someone as talented and important was overshadowed but there are so many dudes this year.

Should be fun

EDIT: Bigelow looked explosive too

Just got the wrong 15....that one messed up the ESPN guys too

I hadn't even noticed that Abojei got in the game before garbage time. Was that due to performance or injury?

To what you guys are saying, he would've signed with Minnesota on signing day but had grade troubles. JUCO was his backup plan, but then he did what he needed to do in order to get here. I think we got a steal!

Abojey came in the game at the end of the third i think. Maybe turn of the last quarter. He played both to the left and right of Arnold. He is a big dude, an earth mover... Bulldozer, landfiller, whatever. On bigalows td, he had a great block. But that wasn't the only one, he had many. He pancaked Lopez at least once.

The dude is for real. Needs to trim up, he looks like he needs to be managed with his reps right now due to fatigue... But Jesus, he is like a Wilder beast stampede. Once he gets his mits on to a linebacker it's night night time.
