Reminder - Tom Burman is a loser and a bum and should be fired

I filled out an information form in August indicating my interest in purchasing season tickets for wrestling and men’s basketball. I have not heard a peep from UW, since filling out this form. I cannot be the only one this has happened to? Does the athletic department not want money or just doesn’t give a damn?

I had donated to CJC for years and had 3-4 football season tickets for over 30 years. My points total for CJC membership got me close enough to the front of the line I was able to buy choice seats when Texas and Nebraska came to Laramie buying the maximum 10 tickets. I would sell off what I didn’t use to friends that weren’t able to buy single game tickets but still went to games sporadically.

My first distaste was in both 2009 and 2011 New Mexico bowls I specifically requested tickets in any of 3 sections and higher up. What I got was first row on the 5 yard line which even in Laramie seats like that are considered the cheap seats. As the game progressed I moved up to the sections I requested and asked the Wyoming fans when they got their tickets. Not one was a season ticket holder and everyone of them simply walked into the ticket office before sales ended in Laramie and got premium 50 yard line seats that I was paying extra for with my CJC donation and seat location at UW (section 25). That was the final straw for me in how the AD ticket office along with the CJC operated together. It started in 2011 when I was sent my renewal notice and the amounts required to gain access to the Ford lot which was newly opened. I paid for everything early. When I got my parking pass it was at the animal science building by the cemetery. I called and was told to get access to the Ford lot I needed to pay another $2,500 because the level I paid for was sold out. They did offer me the east dirt lot off of Nelson because I was more than eligible for that lot and they admitted they goofed up on my parking tag. Ironically the Ford lot sat with numerous empty spaces all of 2011 except for the Nebraska game. Were there that many Nebraska fans who bought CJC and paid the extra costs for the Ford lot? Ford premium in 2011 was the section next to the entrance to the War and separated from the general access to that lot.

For the Poinsettia bowl in 2016 I bought my own seats because I refused to buy a crap end zone seat through UW. For every Arizona bowl I buy my own seats and enjoy access to the unlimited buffet in the suites below the upper deck rather than get a crap seat through UW for the same price.

Net effect like you Bear Claw, is I did all the things as required and paid premium prices to get pushed aside too many times to the point I don’t trust the athletic department. For the past 15 years when I attend games I use the virtual seat selection for single tickets so I know what I am getting. It’s way better than the old phone call and take what you get. Most games football and basketball have so many empty seats I can always sit in a nice seat and watch the mediocrity on the field and I don’t have to pay a premium. Yes - I understand that my donation helps but when I have spent let’s say “premium economy or business class” prices I expect to get what is offered for the extra expenditure and not a lesser substitution that someone buying “basic economy” off the streets gets at the last minute.

In my opinion Burman has never cared about the common fan, and really @PorkerPoke is an uncommon fan spending the resources he has to attend games. That type of dedication should be welcomed by anyone in the AD, but outside of Reeves they all seem to run to the Wildcatter to sniff each other's farts. The AD and any associate ADs should be with the common fans so they can hear their experiences, good and bad. However, Burman has had no one to hold him accountable so as long as the big donors kept paying it didn't matter.

Alex has done very well in the CJC role so maybe that changes things. As for tickets that is disheartening to hear that no one answered your form. I can't imagine a ton of forms were put in for either sport that someone could not answer them.

Our only hope is Reeves cleans house this spring and have people that will listen to the common fan.

Honestly you should email Thorburn. I know it is not his wheel house but I would suspect he finds an answer for you
