Who's going to invest in a product that continually loses money and is really expensive to operate?

The fact is it's a niche type sport. Only playing on a 50 yard field with a lot of guys playing both ways, offense and defense. Only the QB and kicker are allowed to be specialized for obvious reasons.
In hindsight, I'm amazed it lasted this long. The AFL did take 2009 season off to reorganize things but still...
