Relax, we're actually doing pretty good

So far this season, the Pokes, minus a play here or there, would probably be only a 1 loss team, an eventual MWC championship game participant and a possible contender for the college football playoff.

Even in some of the lopsided score losses, if we had just made a play or two to switch the momentum, these would of been victories.

So, we're actually dealing with a championship caliber team. Please call the dogs off Sawvel and just watch the games. You'll witness a top ten football program. Again, if we could just make this or that play, the won/loss record would be way different. Next year, hang on, Sawvel will get the small things fixed and the Pokes will be a team making it's way into the upper upper echelon of college football and will be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Georgia, Texas and 'bama

This is exactly how Kevin McKinney would assess the situation. If not for the penalties and the passes that flew over the receiver's heads, and the pick 6's, we'd be 7-1. The pre season hype about how great we would be that came from the university employed media was embarrassing to begin with. Now that their predictions have proven laughable, the excuses for the terrible play during the broadcasts are an insult to the intelligence of anyone with an IQ higher than our win total.

I was on the train too. Really, even some of Bohls “good” teams were only a few plays from behind sub 500. This team probably a qb switch away from being 5-3. Idaho, sdsu, San Jose, Utah st all winnable with marginal qb improvement, which Anderson gives us.

It's hard to know how Anderson would have played with so little experience. The fact that the coaching staff stayed with Svoboda one horrible game after another shows that Sawvel is unwilling to admit he made a mistake. I've never had less confidence in a coach than this one. He can't evaluate talent. He's a terrible game day coach. And the team is undisciplined with all the penalties. Even with the better QB play that Anderson should give us, I think it's doubtful we win any of our remaining games.

Svboda hasn’t been bad, he’s been fucking terrible. Mediocre is such a huge improvement that I think all phases of the game get better. As someone in another thread mentioned, other offenses are super aggressive playing our D because there’s no penalty for doing so. Our O never makes them pay. We had a great 3rd down defense but the other teams went for it on 4th a lot.

Talent evaluation, imo, is the most important aspect of coaching. If you can't even get the right players on the field as a coach, then you're hopeless.

Ummmm what??? Ok keep thinking your way with all your unicorns to protect you as well...this year is SHIT...nuff said
