Redshirts?

Word from a Vorel article is that we should expect one forward and one guard to redshirt. My guesses would be Aka-Gorski and Williams will sit this year and we'll see Lieberman and Barnes on the court.

The season will probably dictate how many redshirts come off. If the staff has the luxury of redshirting Barnes and Williams this year, they just might do it. Like Bohl, Shyatt has deemed his program a "developmental" one. Bigs usually take a little more time to develop, relatively-speaking. It'll probably depend on the play and health of Nance, Cooke, Sellers and, maybe, Herndon with his length at the 4/5. Who knows, if Shyatt thinks a guy like Barnes can help immediately, he'll play immediately.

As a guess, I would think Lieberman and Aka Gorski have a better chance of seeing the floor if Shyatt plans on redshirting no more than "a couple" of freshmen. The more freshmen they can redshirt each year, the stronger this program becomes.

I agree poke fan. Gorski has been playing a lot of international ball and I expect him to be more ready than the others. Where are we the thinnest? That's where any freshman could play
