This transfer thing will get easier for our coaching staff the longer they are here. Our staff was recruiting at a lower level 2 seasons ago. Now they're probably starting to have a few guys they recruited to Wyoming start to enter the portal but more of them that they recruited to UNC.

It has to be difficult with NIL to identify the guys that aren't just looking for the biggest check possible.

Agree Nil money can play a part, the big man on a smaller campus might gamble and try to be on a bigger (wyo) stage or the guy who plays at say a USC might not be making crap there and want to be the man at UW and get more exposure, planning time and Nil. Transfer portal, if recruited well can actually be ok imho

I think our two biggest need positions would be solved if they both came. We already have a center coming in. To me, we need another long wing. Max plays small forward, but 6'9" is the lengthy wing we really need. We need a smaller guard that can defend quick guards, has great handles, and can push tempo. They're both great defenders. I don't think either of them are elite three point shooters, but Max is pretty solid for a tall guy, and Anderson shot it pretty well his freshman year.

Hopefully, they're good friends and both end up here.
