Anyone have any new information on recruiting? I'm sure the staff is having quite a few players visiting over the next couple of weeks before the bowl game.Wonder if the Pokes have any shot at landing Danny Spond... apparently, he will be visiting WYO the weekend of Dec 11th.

I think we're going to get this kid. According to Gowyogo we have visits from a wr named Neu and a j.c. linemen named McMullen as well. I think Neu may be one of the original "Knights that say Neu."

One thing that's a bit of a concern with Spond - he recently had the concussion of concussions and was out cold for two hours. I have a feeling an experience like that will influence his style of play at least a little bit. That's not to say that I don't want him to come to Laramie. I'm sure he'd make an impact either way.

Pretty sure he's a QB at Columbine HS and wants at least a chance at that spot in college. Sounds like he's mostly being recruited as an athlete/safety. With CJB out, this could work out better for us.
I would certainly be beyond enthralled if he came to Laramie, but damn, make sure your melon is good! Out cold for two hours is really scary...

I wonder if we're back in the mix with Mister Jones, another Dan Hawkins decommit. He's a running back with great skill. Hopefully DC can turn the turmoil in Boulder into success in Laramie.

Yeah, Mister Jones publicly stated last week that he's sticking with his commitment regardless of the Hawkins situation.
I'm kind of excited about our BC runningback recruit. Scout has him at 3 stars, Rivals has him unrated. Here's a couple of recent articles that mention him:

Apparently he had 11 carries for 178 yards and 3 touchdowns in the BC quarterfinals a couple of weeks back.
then in the semifinals on December 1st:

"Running back Nehemi Kankolongo led the Cents with 179 rushing yards on 31 carries and two touchdowns."

There was a good story in the paper and posted on this site, about how he bought his own bus ticket, rode many hours for BC to take a visit to UW. I will try to find it and copy it here.

I have to admit, I'm very curious as to how the current recruiting trip is going. I just took a look at CSU's commitment list, and it's a really weird list to be honest.

6 three star guys, 1 two star, the rest unrated. 6 of the kids are from Orlando, FL. It seems they all come because of Bobby Borcky, who likely chose CSU because his brother already plays there.
Anyways, I'm seriously hoping we beat their recruiting class this year as far as talent goes, and then that we utilize it. I think with the extra attention a bowl game will give us, it'll become obvious to plenty of high school football players that they can play right away at Wyoming if they're good enough, which is a big deal for a lot of them.
I really would love for us to grab a couple of 4 star guys.
