Here is where the MWC teams 2009 recruiting classes currently rank according to Scout and Rivals. The recruiting season is far from over, but it is an indication of who is getting early commitments from good players. TCU got a jump on everyone this year, they didn't have many scholarships to give last spring so spent that time looking at this year's seniors. BYU has made a habit out of getting early commitments.
Scout Rivals # of commits per Scout
BYU 26 47 15
TCU 51 34 14
Utah 55 54 9
SDSU 90 92 7
UNLV 93 96 4
CSU 97 105 3 (2 FL, 1 TX)
NM 98 110 2
AFA 103 101 3 (2 TX, 1 ILL)
Wyo 104 110 3 (3 Colorado)
Shows why the big 3 are the big 3, but other than that a couple good commitments could jump us ahead of most of the pack, but it really only matters where you end up in February.
One more loss and I will be spending my freetime researching my second favorite sport, UW football recruiting, sorry just not much of a B-ball fan, I'll be happy if we do well though, I just don't invest as much time, emotion, etc, into it.
