The transfer portal period begins December 9 and goes thru December 28 (deadline for player entry). So because players haven’t even entered the portal yet; I have no clue how anyone could answer this question.

Maybe just known transfers who have socially transitioned to the portal but haven’t officially.

Sawvel wants to sign 35 this class and we only have 10 current commits. Signing day is in early December so there is a TON of work to do.
 
Hoping that ending the season on a relatively high note positively impacts some players’ decisions regarding the portal. The O could be pretty damn good if we can keep Anderson, Waylee, King, Durr, Stevenson, Sargent and Gyllenborg. Not too shabby for talent

If Sawvel is still here next year, is there any reason these players should believe he will actually play them and get them opportunities to impact the game?

We all know how resistant he was to move to Anderson despite Svboda having a historically bad start, but Durr didn’t even make the two deep at WR for most of the season. Sawvel said multiple times that Svboda ‘would be a great QB at Wyoming one day’. Now, just a few weeks later, Sawvel plans to discuss with Svboda about moving him to tight end permanently?

Waylee, despite clearly being our best option at RB, is still getting touches taken away by Ferrell. Waylee had 12 rushes last night for an average of 5.8 yards. Ferrell had 9 carries for an average of 3.0 yards. Is there anyone besides Sawvel that thinks Farrell should be getting nearly as many carries as Waylee?

As a player, you cannot trust Sawvel to reward the best players with playing time.

This is certainly something to track. In the past even without the new roster limits guys generally had to drop down a level to get a scholly. What offsets this is the scholly limit going from 85-105 will be interesting to see how it plays out in CFB.

Some guys are just ready to be done with a situation for whatever reason as well.
 
Players like Anderson and Waylee are staying until they get a better offer. Injury prone players are not as likely to get good offers so maybe they stay. I'm not so sure about some of the others.
 
It’ll definitely be interesting to see how roster limits affect the portal. I wonder if this might actually help g5 type teams as the big boys have to trim players they’ve stashed. I know we stashed players too but theirs are probably at least mw talent where the majority of ours are big stretches.

Like Wicks said, the scholarship limit went up though. I'd imagine most transfers are scholarship, so theoretically, transfers could increase. I'm wondering if it will impact walk-ons and high school kids the most?
