Rebuilds in G5 ranks take...

3 to 4 years to get to 7+ wins. Essentially all highly successful rebuilds (or builds) take 3 to 4 years in the G5 ranks to reach 7+ wins. Bohl has done it in 3. FANTASTIC start to his tenure. Amazing really. I think even the terrible state of the MWC doesn't over inflate the progress.

I wasn't sure about Bohl's approach last year and an extremely weak MWC isn't hurting but it looks like the build is now well on track.

Great job coach and kids. Excited to see a bowl game and even more excited to see the next few years.

I do hope that we have a great year next year but the players we are losing are really going to hurt

We need to replace our top lineman on the offensive line and our best defensive lineman.

We are losing our top linebacker

Also all three of our biggest wide receiver threats are gone too.

Now I know nothing about our red shirting players nor do I know if we have freshman coming in as good or better but they will have big shoes to fill.

As far as Bohl, I looked at last year and how young they were, I had no doubt this team would be much improved.
I just didn't think they would be this good! Also, as far as the MWC, the West side is very week but the Mtn teams aren't bad at all.

I think Cowboys will be fine on the offensive and defensive lines next year. And we get most or DB's back.
Running back and receivers are the two big question marks imo.

I'm not worried about OL. Bohl has shown he can recruit the position and can plug in players even as true freshmen and be just fine. Appleby will be a big loss. WRs will be down somewhat, but Allen has shown the ability to find whoever's open. Johnson and Conway are solid options.

The biggest losses will be at LB (both Wacha and May) and if either Hill or Allen decide to enter the draft early.

Allen, after his RS Sophomore year, is going to declare for the draft? You are high off your ass. Hill on the other hand, well, it's been great watching him!

I'm not saying he will, I'm saying he could. It's probably a year too early for that conversation, but you never know. People are starting to look at him as the key to the team's success more than Hill. To me, that says a lot.

Big losses: Roullier, May, Hollister, Gentry, Applebee (never thought I'd have written that, he's become a favorite), Hill (not holding my breath, ALL TIME GREAT!)

Moderate losses Wacha, Wick, Maulhardt, Turelli - all really good players

minor losses All others (thanks for your contributions and sticking with the team, you will be champions, hopefully!)

I'm worried most about replacing Hill (yeah), Gentry (does any other receiver have the speed of Gentry?) and May (DJ is fcking good)

Don't forget Ethan Wood!

Forgot about Ethan. He's a "moderate loss". Very good punter.

If we are building a program, next year will be even better. Program building isn't reliant on a few players. Sure we will have a setback year sometime but not back to where we were.
