Rebounding

I am watching the Duke vs. UVa ACC championship game and the UVa team looks a great deal like UW with one major exception: UVa is sweeping dominating the weak side glass. Our lack of emphasis on weak side rebounding was frustrating all season. I know about how giving up the weak side on offense helped us save fouls, but those boards can equal so many 2nd-chance points that it seems like something that needs to change in the coming seasons.

On a different note, I was always a fan of how Duke's teams played as a unit and kind of cheered them on since before they got beat by UNLV in the NCAAs, but I lived in Virginia long enough that my heart is torn in this game. Go Hoos? Kind of?

Where in Virginia did you live? I graduated from high school in Virginia before coming out to Wyoming for my undergraduate degrees. I did the first couple of years of high school time in the Richmond area before transferring to Suffolk for my senior year. Even though I have a great deal of respect for what Coach K has done at Duke I was very happy to see UVA take the championship. Go Hoos and Go Pokes!!!

Don't be torn. Never, ever, ever, ever cheer for Duke to win.

I lived in NC for quite awhile and just couldn't cozy up to those.......blue buggers.

I lived in Williamsburg and worked in both Richmond and Norfolk/Va Beach/Suffolk area. Suffolk was booming before the housing bust of 2008 on.

The way understand it, the UVa teams were known as the "Wahoos" at some point either before or concurrently with the Cavaliers mascot that you might be more familiar with.
