I wish him the best in following his dreams.

I thought this was a great interview . The writer anticipates a top 50 pick with an outside chance at being a first rounder. It would be great to see!

"you know with the offense we were running towards the end of the year, a lot of what we were doing was East-West, just lateral throws and not really having to throw it down the field. So, I was just catching and getting it out as fast as I could. And even before that, a lot of the routes we were doing were just catch and pitch it really fast like 3-4 yards. Christensen’s mentality was getting 3 yards, get another 2 or 3 yards and then hand it off and then do the same thing."

Pretty much what we all knew watching the gameplan of the offensive genius :o

The last paragraph mentions the importance of Pro Day for Brett. I have to say that this might be the busiest Pro Day Wyo has ever had. With 3 possible draft picks working out including one that should have been invited to the combine I would bet their will be a LOT of scouts in Laramie come mid-March.

I'm willing to cheer the Buffaloes over Utah this year. I usually cheer the Utes. No more.

I'm really cheering for Brett and I hope he has a great career. At this point, he is too much of a project to go in top 50. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that would be the first time ever that a non-combine invite goes top 50?

The other problem for him is that there is some real quality in this draft at other positions. Brett is probably a top 10 QB in the draft, IMO, but there aren't 10 teams in great need of a QB. I think the 6 or so teams that need a QB take one in the first. After that, I think the 2nd and 3rd rounds will be other positions that are pretty deep in this draft...WR for example.

I think his best case is 4th and he could fall all the way to undrafted. Pro-day will be a big deal for him.

Whether he gets drafted or not, I can't imagine Brett not being on a team's roster to start next season. Part of me thinks he'd be better off undrafted. If he's drafted and going in it's not a good fit, he'll be in a bad positon to stick with the team and then it becomes a scramble. But if he's undrafted a few teams with long term QB needs will most likely invite him to camp and he can pick the one that suits his skill set and experience level.

I think he competes too hard to not earn a roster spot, assuming he stays healthy. He'll definitely be on a practice squad somewhere at the very least.
