Randy McCall & the horse and pony show

We take good collegiate basketball games and turn them into a three ring officiating circus. We had good momentum and rhythm going up until that fiasco and then looked lost after it.

Was crazy. Not sure what the right call was at the time of all the T's. Didn't really see it great but didn't look like a punch to me but to wait around talking and reviewing for 10 minutes was ridiculous and killed our momentum and the refs lost control of the game at that point and from then on it was a shit show.

The refs were going to call a T on the Nevada guy for throwing the elbow at JMac and Wyoming was going to get 2 free throws but Wyoming got 2 T's called on them because Adams and Washington decided to taunt the Nevada player after the call. So we hurt ourselves in that situation.

I didn't think the refs were that bad personally we hurt ourselves and can't rely on refs to win or lose a game. The team has to be better than that.

McNanamen was very fortunate in the outcome of the entire sequence. It was a tie ball. Then Mac threw a swing appearing to attempt to dislodge the ball. If he had landed that swing directly on Oliver the scenario could be a flagrant, an ejection and miss next game. Sometimes being tough means you also are in control and you do not wildly "punch" at the ball because bad things can happen if your punch misses the ball.

Perhaps Mac's "aggressiveness" was a factor.

I didn't notice McM's being aggressive. I thought he let go of the ball and Oliver kind of walk over him...using his forearm in the process.

I didn't see the game personally, but to me the "refs blew it" window is good for only about 3-4 points one way or the other, after that it's on the team regardless of how bad the refs may have been.

Watched the reply about 14 times and I never saw JMac throw an arm, a punch, a love pat. I saw him grab the ball and then flail about wildly as the bigger player jostled him. I certainly didnt think Coleman threw a punch, he definitely threw a forearm and should have been gone

You must be blind.

Jmac grabbed the ball and tied it up. The only thing jmac did wrong was hold onto the guys hand as he lost his balance and the guy gave him a forearm . The player should have been ejected there. 2Ts on us was a fucking travesty. Looked like Adams was waving, something they did call Nevada on later. The fact that the team that should have been punished was rewarded is the true crime.

This is interesting.

The fact that wasn't obvious to the officials is pretty pathetic. We screwed up by waving by to him be he should have been ejected. I've seen way less result in way more.

The biggest issue is Adams is going to have to really keep his cool the remainder of the year or he won't be playing at all.

The mw acts like a technical foul is such a terrible thing. Do they suspend coaches after 3 techs? I get CSU's coach gets one a game
