"The plan was to stay close and make safe plays, when you bootleg out and there's nobody there don't force it in," Glenn said. "Karsten's old enough to know he can't fit something in where you can't fit it in."
WTF? Those safe plays have sure been the ticket so far coach. If memory serves me correctly yesterday, Sween had a one on one and threw the ball in a spot where our high school talented receiver could have made the play. Did he go up and fight for the ball...hell no. Maybe Karsten wouldn't have to bootleg out of the pocket if he had an offensive line that could hold a block or pick up a blitz. Sween did make mistakes, but he is one of 22+ guys involved in that ass kicking yesterday. And that's not counting the pool of coaching intellect we have in the press box and on the sidelines.
Our only TD came from an "unsafe play". Nothing pisses me off anymore than a coach not being man enough to step up and say maybe he has to shoulder some, part, or all of the loss.
Glenn hired Cole, Glenn recruited these players, Glenn (maybe) coaches these guys, so why can't he step up for a little blame?

The references to "Groundhog Day" are totally a bullshit reference. What the hell do you expect to happen week in and week out when you keep trying to push the same ole gameplan?! That's right, the same shitty result, week in and week out!!!!! If they actually watched the movie, they would see that Bill Murry changed something everyday until he got it right then got out of the "Groundhog Day" cycle. Maybe instead of just referencing the movie, the coaches should try and learn something from it........

Those are my feelings exactly. He's the one running this program. He's the one getting the big bucks. He's the one that was waaaay too loyal to his assistants. He's like those CEOs on Wall St. that watched their companies go down the tubes while they walked away with the fat wallets.
