Is the MWC AQ NCAA berth tied to one specific region or bracket? What are the odds of whoever wins tonight playing in Omaha on Friday? Anyone know how this works out?

I don't think it is, I could be wrong though. I'm hoping they end up in Portland, I could make it then

Haha. I am really hoping for Omaha. I think we'd have a huge turnout if we landed in Huskerville

I don't think any berths are tied to one location, but Portland, Omaha and Seattle are certainly the most likely locations.

They aren't tied to any.

The committee will try to put the top few seeds as close as they can to home but that is about the extent of it. Wyoming won't be a high enough seed obviously for that. They could get shipped out anywhere actually.

This.

No seed has any ties to a region. The committee will try to "protect" the top seeds with favorable matchups and close-to-home locations, but that's it.

If we win, I want one where Poke fans can travel to in large numbers, at least for the first round. So, anything from Nebraska to the West coast would work best.

If the Pokes were an 11 seed, they would play a 6. If they were a 12 seed, they would play a 5. Either way, the team that drew Wyoming in the first round would be hating life.

Oh damn, I'd take those odds.

I would say 11-12. Somewhere right in there
Would that be against a 1-2? 12 - 1, 11 - 2?

11 seed would be against the 6 seed with the winner playing either the #3 or #14 seed.

12 seed plays the 5 seed with the winner playing the #4 or #13 seed.

Wouldn't have to play the #1 or #2 seed until the sweet sixteen. Which would be ideal.

Yeah, even if the Pokes dropped to a 13 seed, they would play a 4 and like I said, most teams would not want Wyoming in the first round. If Wyoming makes the dance, they are a dangerous draw in the first round.

I think I would like that matchup. If we keep playing like we have, we would have a great chance to knock off a some low hanging fruit...

In 1987 Wyoming went into the Dance as a 12 seed and beat Virginia, a 5 seed. They then beat UCLA, a 4 seed, went to the Sweet Sixteen and lost to UNLV, a 1 seed.

13 most likely and it would be awesome. To be able to look at the bracket and see "Wyoming" again after all these years? I wouldn't care what the seed number next to it was, I would be the happiest person on the planet.

Also beat Gonzaga as an 11 seed in 02 and lost to LMU as a 5 seed in 88. Just get in, that's all that matters.

We win tonight and the entire state will flip shit. It has been a long time coming and we want this. WE NEED THIS. We win tonight and this may be bigger, more meaningful to our program than watching Marcus Bailey play in the tourney. I don't know, maybe not. Either way, this is a program changing moment.
