Question for next year

I'm just curious with the fact of our President retiring at the end of summer, what does that meann for our AD?
In most cases --not all the time but in some cases the new Pres. tends to let the AD go and bring in a new one.....any thoughts.. :o

I suppose it depends upon what emphasis the new president puts on athletics. If he or she could care less, then why make a change? If the new president supports athletics, then he or she would probably assess the state of the athletics program and make a decision then whether Mr. Burman stays or goes.

Yes, exactly.

New Pres wants a big change in athletics = new AD OR giving the AD more money to do hit
New Pres okay with things= no change

I'm guessing Wyoming fishing is hoping for someone who cares deeply for athletics and wants to put "their guy" in there. Most ADs get a year or two, depending on how programs do.

I hope that the new president is wise enough to use the transition to bring in a talented AD before making any coaching changes. Once we get vision and talent in the UW executive suite, then we can attract the talent necessary to build our programs
