Question about scholarships?

So there has been talk about having too many scollies and not enough schollies.

But do they have to give a full scholarship to a player?

In NCAA baseball, you have 11.7 schollies to be divided up between 23 players, so most player just get a partial schollie.

Can they do that in basketball?
If we have 12 schollies, can the 12 be divided up into 13 or 14 spots? Or is each player a full-ride?

That might solve the riddle of the extra player issue we have been wondering about.

No. Football and basketball(maybe others, don't know) have to be full scholarships.

This is exactly right. In football and basketball (not sure on all the others) you are either on a full scholarship or nothing. Some sports (wrestling) can divide the scholarship money. Other than those three, I am not certain.
