After the game Saturday, I began pondering. All season long we have witnessed the maturation of this team. But has there been any growth more apparent than Josh Allen? He started out as a wild gunslinger with a loose cannon arm and "iffy" decision making (i.e. the 4th at Nebraska) but has turned into a smart, calculated, and intelligent sharp shooter who now can diagnose the play before it happens and has the ability to improvise when it breaks down. There is no doubt in my mind, the University of Wyoming has the best QB in the conference and it isnt even close (he may one of the best in the country as well).
I have been wanting to talk about his topic the past few weeks but hadnt seen a ton of Rypien live for comparisons. After Saturday there is no more debate. Allen outplayed Rypien in all facets but total stats. Rypien's stat line was pretty but he couldn't make the plays to win the game. Allen did. We as fans are spoiled, this kid is going to be very special!
