QB Aaron Young

I honestly have enough faith in bohl that he will coach mediocre players to good players, and good players to great players. He will coach these guys up.

OMG, did anyone else look at this kids numbers coming out of high school and where they are now? He is NOT very athletic... 21 inch vert? Are you kidding me? 5.8 40 time There are fat linemen that can run that fast! After a year they have improved but not by much and they are still ridiculously low even for an average highschool kid! 28 inch vert. now and 4.8 40 time. Holy Crap this kid is slow!

Take a look at this article, I think I'd rather have 3 superbowls then a 4.4 40 ;)

But anyway, obviously Mr. Young is not very proven but I REALLY like this kid. Seems to have an awesome attitude and an extreme passion and work-ethic. 22 TD and 3 INT speaks for itself, and in his 1 year as a starter in high school it was 30 TD and 9 INT. Seems very effecient to me. Also, the 40 time and vertical increase are a testament to his work ethic. You want a kid that WANTS to be a cowboy, and not one that feels entitled. I love the fact that this kid has a huge chip on his shoulder.'

Its also great to have another NY connection to WYOMING other than myself! haha

Looking forward to see what Aaron has to offer. Time will tell!

GO POKES!

This kid has won a superbowl too? Holy Sh%! he is good.

Don't get me wrong I hope he does great...but based on every measurable out there he is less than average in terms of D1 talent. I know I know pro style Qbs don't have to run or jump....but with this young O line he will be running for his life and from the looks of his speed that will be about two steps. One of the things a QB must possess is the ability to make plays from broken sets and schemes and this kid is going to get run down like a Wounded rabbit in a pit full of vipers!

Another Question I have is why was he overlooked in the first signing period? If he is indeed ranked as the 5th best Pro Style Qb why isn't he signed? I know why.......

Good job of selling this kid to WYO from somebody in New York.

Captain Kirk - Part Two

EDIT: or maybe Stutz Part Two?

he only played one year and people wanted to wait and see how his 2nd year went or perhaps he wanted to come back west and was waiting for a western offer. I never make assumptions about why decisions are made.

How does that answer why is was overlooked and not signed? There are plenty great Universities "Out West". :?

Most teams are running a spread or read option these days. Not surprising. Even fresno is running a modified spread with a pro style QB
