Pumphrey's a monster

does this mean we should forsee a game in 1990 when it ended in our favor against them with Dan McGwire at the helm 52-51, I do remember that game and boy was it fun to watch, be prepared for another track meet

I was THERE!!!

This thread title cracks me up...(being a monster). The trash talking bastard is like 5'8" and 175. He is fast, quick, shifty, speedy, etc., but no "monster".

Yep. If the douche makes it to the NFL, he will either go the way of his predecessor (Hillman) or will be broken in half by the time camp ends in August. Of course, Hillman is a few inches taller, and about 20 pounds heavier, so maybe he won't even get to that point.

Pumphrey will go down as a great college RB and it will end there. Not even a special teams guy in the NFL. I don't see him making it to the next level, so I hope he has a degree or a backup plan.

I don't honestly care if he has a back up plan...his arrogance and smug attitude can land him pumping (no pun) porta shitters for the rest of his life, for all I am concerned.

I'm not sure I understand the hate... He's trash talking, so that means he deserves to fail everything in life?

I mean, compared to what quite a few BYU/CSU players have said in the past, this seems extremely tame, yet people are riled up as if he had slit Cowboy Joe's throat or something.

I'm not so sure he doesn't have a future in professional football. I think at the very least the cfl could use him.

I could see him turning into a Darren Sproles type guy... at least if he can catch the ball decently.

Sproles is a lot thicker than Pumpfrey, so better to take the punishment of the NFL. When they say Pumphrey is 180 lbs, I think he's getting weighed with his uniform and pads on. He is a thin guy. But, he's been pretty resiliant so far, so who knows? Good luck to him, after this season!

4!

26 years ago, man I'm beginning to get old(er) LOL

I was there too! SDSU went for 2 and didn't get it. No OT in those days so you took your chances or settled for a tie. SDSU set the NCAA record that day for most points scored by a losing team. I think we just set the new record last week.
