Proposed Budget Cuts

I had just gone to visit UW for the first time and absolutely loved it, but I come home and see that there's apparently proposals to slash 40 million from the UW budget? I've seen that Seidel and the Governor are not thrilled about the cuts but also seeing that the freedom caucus has a majority in the state house and senate, I'm worried that these cuts would be able to get into the state budget. I'm not sure if this is something that would be likely to go through and figured I should ask here since I'm not sure where else to. Worse yet if they go through, I know dropping from Div. 1 is a possibility but academically what would get cut since I know my fields of study (Theater Tech and Journalism) would be at risk, especially given Wyoming Public Media is on the chopping block too it seems.
