Proper time to lobby for names on uniforms?

I am a strong advocate of putting names on jerseys. I know the "cowboy tough" crowd - will say "it is about the name on the front not on the back" won't agree with me. But this isn't 1967 Alabama. Kids want their names on their jerseys, and of course they know who they play for. Tune in to how Herb Brooks did it in 1980.
 
I don't feel like the name on the back has anything to do with cowboy tough or anything else. For the longest time no name on the back was only maintained by Penn State as Joe Paterno was all about playing as a team and not as individuals.

It's a little hard to follow with so many young players and new starters every other week. If it was the same group of people all year I don't think anyone would care as they would identify with the players easily enough but we never know who will be out there and because of that we only know like 4-5 numbers.
 
Maybe the players don't want names on their jerseys... so their names aren't associated with the poor on-field performances? In all seriousness, it looks like a high school team. Bill O'Brien added names to Penn State (although they've been removed again this season) to better acknowledge the players who stuck it out through the whole controversy, maybe we should do the same for our players who have bought in to the idea of rebuilding our program.
 
It wouldn't bother me if they put names on the jerseys, but I like it better without them. I prefer the old school look.
 
My vote is for WYOMING on the front and names on the back. While we're at it, we also need to shake up uniform and helmet combos. Recruits care about these things! I can't even begin to tell you how many high school seniors that I work with comment on how they like variety in the uniforms. Hell, even the high school I work at uses different uniform combinations.
 
The new jerseys will have Wyoming spelled out.

I'm indifferent on the names on the back.. I usually memorize numbers anyways, because from the stands you can't hardly see the names anyways.

Maybe we can spice things up a little... maybe use nicknames like the NBA Christmas jerseys? Or have the names in braille?

I seriously don't get it. We have brown pants (spring game), we have gold jerseys ( tweets from recruiting visits), recruits are sent pictures of cool looking concept helmets (like J-Rod's picture), yet we go out every Saturday like Wyokie is our fashion designer...

I think we should just wear all white, No wait all white is an omen for always losing we never beat anyone in white.

Don't tell BSU about old school uniforms. Luckily they use a variety. They'd be damn near unbeatable if they stuck to old style uniforms without names.
